1. Information We Collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password hash, and plan selections provided during registration.
  • Menu uploads: images, PDFs, extracted text, styling metadata, and review edits that you or your team submit.
  • Usage data: log entries, device information, and analytics gathered to secure accounts and improve the service.
  • Communications: messages you send through the contact form or support channels.

Restaurant widgets

Embedded hours and announcements use no cookies or fingerprinting. We collect daily impression, click and dismissal counts and coarse render-time buckets by widget and host domain, without guest identifiers. Dismissed messages are remembered in the guest’s browser local storage. Theme matching stores a derived theme and a private screenshot that is deleted within 24 hours.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide and maintain the Menu2Website platform, including AI processing and hosting.
  • Respond to inquiries, send transactional emails, and deliver updates about new capabilities.
  • Monitor usage to detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, and protect the integrity of generated sites.
  • Improve accuracy of extraction and styling models using aggregated, de-identified data.

3. Sharing & Processors

  • We use trusted infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting, AI model APIs, and email delivery services) to operate the platform.
  • Service providers are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations and may only use data to perform services on our behalf.
  • We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

4. Data Retention

  • Uploaded menus, generated assets, and contact submissions are retained while your account remains active.
  • Backups and logs are stored for a limited period to support disaster recovery and security investigations.
  • You may request deletion of projects or contact records at any time via contact.php.

5. Security

  • Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS and stored in secure MySQL databases with access controls.
  • We monitor login attempts, enforce rate limiting, and maintain audit logs for critical actions.
  • While we work to protect information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Choices

  • Update account details, reset passwords, or delete projects from the dashboard.
  • Opt-out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
  • Request data exports or deletion of personal information by emailing privacy@menu2website.com.

7. Children’s Privacy

Menu2Website is intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
